Circadin® 2 mg Prolonged-Release Tablets are a prescription-only melatonin medicine used for the short-term treatment of primary insomnia in adults aged 55 years and over.
Circadin contains melatonin, a hormone naturally produced by the body that helps regulate the sleep–wake cycle. The prolonged-release formulation is designed to release melatonin gradually through the night, helping to improve sleep quality, reduce difficulty falling asleep, and minimise night-time awakenings.
Circadin is indicated only for primary insomnia, meaning sleep disturbance that is not caused by an underlying medical, mental, or environmental condition.
