How to use Salamol Blue Asthma Inhaler?
Before using your salbutamol inhaler, ensure that the cap covering the mouthpiece is folded down. If it's your first time using the inhaler, release two test sprays into the air prior to actual use. When you're prepared to administer the medication, adhere to these instructions: 1. Shake the inhaler vigorously. 2. Keep the inhaler upright and fold down the mouth cap. 3. Exhale fully. Position the mouthpiece of the inhaler between your lips and inhale slowly and deeply through it. Continue inhaling even after the inhaler has dispensed the dose into your mouth. 4. Remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for 10 seconds or as long as you comfortably can. 5. Promptly close the cap. If a second dose is required, wait for one minute between administrations and then repeat these steps.Dosage:
Your prescriber will determine the appropriate dosage of salbutamol for you, but the manufacturer provides some recommended dosing instructions for adults and children. Here's how adults and adolescents aged 12 and above typically use this medication:- For relieving asthma symptoms and other respiratory issues: Begin with one puff, increase to two if needed.
- To prevent exercise-induced or allergy-triggered asthma: Take two puffs 10-15 minutes before physical activity or allergen exposure.
- Do not exceed eight puffs within a 24-hour period unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional.
- If you find yourself needing more doses, consult a doctor.
- Allow at least four hours between each dose.
- Children under 12 generally adhere to these guidelines:
- For relieving asthma symptoms and other respiratory issues: Start with one puff, increase to two if necessary.
- To prevent exercise-induced or allergy-triggered asthma: Administer one puff 10-15 minutes before physical activity or allergen exposure. Increase to two if needed.
- Do not exceed eight puffs within a 24-hour period.
- Ensure a minimum of four hours between doses.
